Please feel free to contact us for suggestions and help. All of our items are sold through our affiliate sponsors. If you need assistance, please follow up with the respective customer service department of that store. We can only direct you to the appropriate store for issue resolution. We are not responsible for the actions of our vendors but we do provide the most reputable online companies possible (Amazon, eBay, and others) so please shop with confidence. Why advertise? Besides our cat products catalog, we provide a number of sponsor links throughout the site. We do this for several reasons. First, it helps to pay for the site and bring you new content (feline health articles, funny cat pictures, etc.). Second, we also wanted to provide our visitors with interesting cat links and cat products that we could not fit onto this one site. Hopefully, our site is balanced with both good cat content and limited commercialism. We welcome constructive suggestions for improvement. If you love your kitty, drop us a picture! Contact us by email if you need assistance. Why the name, "Catnip Ranger"? When I was little, my family raised sable Burmese cats. If you are familiar, when you get a herd of kittens running through the house, it is quite a commotion. Sable Burmese are a wonderful dark brown (with gold eyes). My father nicknamed the group leader and his band "Captain Brown and the Catnip Rangers", probably a twist on my dad's then-recent tours with the US Army Airborne (82nd) division in Fort Bragg, NC. Since it rolled off the tongue and was used for years, the name stuck. Years later, the Catnip Rangers were reborn when my wife and I bought two chocolate point Siamese brothers (Jake and Elwood). Later, we bought three Tonkinese retired show cats to provide company to Elwood when Jake passed. Our latest Captain Brown is Zane, a natural point Tonk that very much resembles the Burmese of old (except with blue eyes and lanky). Elwood was promoted to Colonel Brown due to his age. Note: the Tonkinese breed was developed by crossing Burmese and Siamese so they have a little of each breed's characteristics. See our Most Wanted Cats page for pictures. Regards,
